About ParishRelay
A practical parish need became a focused platform.
ParishRelay did not begin with a plan to build an enormous church technology platform. It began with a much simpler question: could everything a parish already publishes become easier for parishioners to reach?
One straightforward request
A parish priest wanted a simple app where people could find events, daily readings, bulletins, news, giving, and other useful parish information. The parish already had reliable ways to publish all of it; what it lacked was one easy place for parishioners to begin. It did not need a large management suite, and it certainly did not need a migration project.
The first application connected those existing sources and presented them through a calm, mobile-friendly experience. Soon, a broader possibility became clear: other parishes face the same fragmentation, even when the particular publishing systems behind it are different.
From one parish app to a platform for many
ParishRelay gradually became a multi-tenant platform, with parish-aware administration, reusable connectors, a distinct presentation for each community, and support for parish-owned domains. Even as the technology grew more capable, the principle underneath it stayed simple: keep what already works.
Orthodox-focused, independently built
ParishRelay is developed with the rhythms and practical needs of Orthodox parishes in mind. At the same time, it remains an independent software product and does not claim endorsement by any Orthodox jurisdiction, diocese, or parish.
Stay mostly invisible
The parish’s identity should always lead, while ParishRelay quietly provides support from behind the scenes.
Remain deliberately focused
We would rather solve one clear problem thoughtfully than accumulate every possible church-office function.
